Introduction
A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is a measurable metric that tracks a critical aspect of a business’s performance, allowing companies to assess progress towards strategic goals and identify areas for improvement through optimization; essentially, KPIs are the key metrics used to monitor and enhance critical business functions, enabling data-driven decision making to achieve desired outcomes. It is a quantifiable measure a company uses to determine how well it’s meeting its operational and strategic goals.
KPIs measures a company’s success vs. a set of targets, objectives, or industry peers. KPIs can be financial, including net profit (or the bottom line, net income), revenues minus certain expenses, or the current ratio (liquidity and cash availability). You should compare your optimization results with your baseline data and your optimization goals, and quantify the improvements in terms of performance, quality, and profitability. You should also analyze the feedback, lessons learned, and best practices from your optimization process, and celebrate your achievements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Optimization training course helps participants to execute or update measurement systems in their department or field of work.
